SYNOPSIS

Ubaldo Ragona’s film is the most faithful adaptation of Richard Matheson’s I Am Legend. It established the visual template for the modern zombie apocalypse, featuring slow-moving hordes attacking a besieged house—imagery that directly inspired Night of the Living Dead. Vincent Price’s understated performance captures the crushing despair of isolation. While low-budget, its bleak, nihilistic tone was ahead of its time.
